Description
This is the quintessential Canadian jewellery as it is literally made from a piece of Canada! Wendy repurposes granite core samples of the Canadian Shield (i.e. stone that has been drilled from deep in the earth by mining companies). She cuts thin slices on a diamond saw to reveal the unique mineral face of each pendant. She then wraps the piece with silver wire and seals the piece to complete. This piece is reversible as the stone has different markings on either side. On this pendant, Wendy carved away one edge of the stone to create a horizon-like silhouette.
Size: approx. 1 7/8″ diameter on a heavy 18″ sterling silver chain with lobster clasp.
We recommend removing jewellery when using sunscreen and prior to swimming or showering.
